Hi,
I'm a 26 female and I like to think of myself as relatively normal, but I am having difficulty meeting new people/making new friends. I have a best friend, and a friend i hardly talk to anymore but that's all really. I'd like to get to know people but i don't know how. I'm not really interested in many things ex...like i don't play sports so I don't have the opportunity to meet people that way. I don't like sports so I wouldn't bother joining a team, and the honest truth is I don't really like much of anything other than the usual stuff (watching tv, working out (a little bit), going to work etc). Most of the people at my work are older and have children and although we are all chummy and friendly there I don't see myself hanging out with them on the weekend. Seeing as how they are all 40 or so. When i meet new people I try to be sociable, but I guess i get the feeling that people might think "why is she talking to me?"

Try not to be sociable because if you do they will think "Oh she is so desperate to find a friend, that poor thing." Just act normal and casual, like you don't care if they will become your friends or not, then they will think, " She obviously has allot of friends because she doesn't act like she is desperate for a friend, so she must be a cool person for me to have as a friend." It's called reverse psychology.

Explore things that you would like to know about and sign up for some classes at your local Community College.... it is amazing how much of a bond that you can form with people that are trying to learn something new as well!! Good Luck!! :)

Well I am in my 40's and most people I know are married with kids and so I don't know of anyone local to go out with, but I do have friends on myspace. You can make friends there.
