I am applying for a job where I work from home on my computer. The company is requiring a minimum speed of 768 kbps download and 384 upload. Do I need DSL or cable?

Both Cable and DSL will give you the spead that you need, cable tends to be more expensive but at the same time is more reliable on the speed than DSL, you have to many variables that can dictate your speed in DSL but for the most part the speed that your need is delivered by DSL. Hope this helps.

it all depends on what you're gonna use the internet for, if you're gonna be downloading & uploading files and programs. I currently have cable but has also used DSL, not a big difference. Many companies now offer different speeds of internet so the choice is yours. I would suggest cable because i work for a local provider =)

Both would work. I recommend DSL because most of the time it is cheaper than cable. Yahoo! DSL is probably your best bet.

Your best bang for the buck would be fast access dsl.
