That is hard...A shark will just bite a chunk out of you but a alligator will hold you under water for a long time and spin you around and really really hurt you...but if I am to live through this attack I would choose the alligator because I would atleast have a better chance of keeping myself whole, it is more likely to break bones then to bite a piece of me off. The shark would take a big piece and thats not cool at all.

Gator definitely . At least with an Alligator chances are you are on or close to land . With a Shark you are completely out of your element and unable to "fight back " or try to escape as well as you'd be able to on dry land.
The only advantage to a shark bite is that most are cases of mistaken identity and only result in a single wound . Where and how bad of a wound is relative.
I'd take a pi$$ed off pussy cat though if I had to pick my predator , or a surly Chihuahua !

determination 3: PIT BULL, i be attentive to a thank you to handle an attacking Pittie, I even have 3 pits and whilst they are fairly friendly, I even have found out the indications and indications. yet between a Shark of Croc, i will take the Croc. A shark is a mindless yet wholy effective KILLING device. It keeps on attacking until you're lifeless and the full blood interior the water element, basically terrifies me. (tto lots animal planet) A Croc, you need to conceivably lose an arm or leg and stay to tell the tale. They carry on until you flow limp, so which you need to con the croc via feigning unconsciousness.... yet then i've got not been swimming in great bodies of water provided that JAWS got here out.

Alligator definitely. Contrary to other posts, alligators don't necessarily pull you under or any of that stuff. Put up a fight and they realize you're too much work. Plus, at least then when someone asks, you can say a dinosaur attacked you instead of a big dumb fish. ;)

I was out on the lake alligator hunting, and it was a full moon, and i thought I would let the wind blow the john boat towards them as I could see them on the top of the water because i had been camping in ocala forest for six months & could see in the dark much better then before i begin camping, and one started for us, I had two guys in the boat and when it came up to the boat, I have never seen such a gator in my life, It looked like a dinosaur, God almighty it was huge.It looked at me with those eyes i will never forget,he looked pissed ,as it was mateing time of year.and he was protecting his females,,and then brought its tail out of the water and slapped me and the boat with its tail I was standing and it s tail went over my head as it hit me on the top on my head then the side of the boat, about knocked me out of the boat which is what he wanted I think so he could kill me. I had a paddle I had carved out, they said it felt like a motor boat,
I was back in camp fast,Dawg. my dogs name was Dawg had been barking loudly right as that gator did that, and darn I thought he was being attacked at the same time I was getting run off by that gator,
I got scared by some dolphins at myrtle beach as a child and thought they were sharks,So really I think they both would be hell to wrestle, with all those teeth and all,so I really cant decide which I would tangle with, probably the gator I quess. if I had My long bowie knife,,but that one gator was to large for anyone to take with out. had a rifle but did nt want to shot that huge gator cause I might have just grazed it and pissed it off,and I sure didnt want to get that gator any more mad at me then he was for me moving in on his females, they get to bellowing like bulls, and get onery when its mating time, and hot weather,my x wife used to work with Ross Allen the famous alligator man, of florida, he worked at silver springs amusement park .clear bottom boats they have ., I used to go up the silver river a lot to silver springs were they have lots of wild type animals on the side of the river, It was very neat to do that ,yes I would rather take on a gator, with a knife.in the water you wouldnt have much of a chance with a shark

If possible, a dead one of either. However, if forced to choose, a shark, as they can come in smaller, less frightening sizes, whereas crocs and alligators seem to come in regulation scary as hell size.

i would have to pick a Crocodile, because they are easier to kill then sharks and they don't live in very deep water like sharks do.

definitely a shark because it has been proved that they normally let go and only bite once because they mistake humans for fish and all of their other common foods and don't attack just to purposely eat or hurt us. :]
