Is he trying to bite stuff?

Is he super drooly?

Is he going after the bottle like he's hungry and then when he gets it he pulls away?

Those are also all signs of teething.

Stick your finger in his mouth and feel for bumps on the gum line

If you find one (usually front and center bottom come in first) then yes...he's teething.

If he has all these symptoms and you don't find any bumps on his gums, he may still be teething but because of that fever, it may be worth popping in to see the doctor just to make sure he's ok.

quite possibly, teething

gently run your finger tip along the gum, at the front and see if you can feel a sharp, hard edge....you may even notice a bit of white at the top of the gum...this could be upper and lower and in my experience, the lowers come up first..

next, get some junior mr. freeze, and sterilize, only for a moment in 180 degree water, the plastic tube...then freeze then as you would and let baby chew on the frozen freezie pops. the cold will help the baby cut the gums and numb the area and what the heck, kids like sugar water anyway. good luck and sleep when the baby sleeps,

Its a little early for teething, you should take your son to the dr. It could possibly be an ear infection that is just getting started. If you wait too long, he can become pretty sick, real fast.
Ear infections are very common starting at this age all the way through to about 8 to 9 years of age.
