I had a cat that this happened to....The cat lived a long life but its foots skin was permanently gone on his foot....If you cant afford a vet bill but want to help it you could keep it cleaned and wrapped in gauze bandage and maybe use neosporin for infection..Of course a veternarian could help you with this better.

NO IT WILL NOT. It will eventually seem to have healed itself but an infection will soon become prevailent. Have your dog checked out by a vet immediatly. When a pet comes back most people are so overwhelmed with joy that they overlook the fact that the animal has gone through both a traumatic and potentially lethal situation. Your dog may seem perfectly normal but also be suffering internal injuries as well as her foot damage. Also, your dog coud have contacted something that could make you and your family sick as well. If cost is a concern, contact your local spca office and im sure they will have additional options for you.

Yes it just needs time for healing to take place. Don't Rush it!

You do need to take her to the vet asap. Whatever did this to her may have been contaminated with harmful bacteria, or she may have even stepped in something harmful. She probably needs antibiotics just in case.

Take her/him to the animal hospital for God's sakes!!! The vet is the only one that knows what would have to be done. Please take that poor little dog to the vet. It is probably in a great deal of pain and home remedies could only make it worse. So please, for the sake of the poor dog, and for your own, please take it to the vet.

Yeah, it'll just grow back. Want proof? Cut off your own head and watch what happens.

And hey, let me know how it works out.

It will, but you might want to take her to the vet to bandage it up, and make sure it doesn't get infected.
