I can't compete with the computer when I'm at Noble level. I don't know how they are building thier armies so big so fast? What are your tips?

spend all your money on science. focus on advances. trade map for technology with a lil gold. only put some defense units in your city. also it depends on how many your current style of govt would allow

When you start out, you have to concentrate on spreading out for resources. However, barbarians will make you build your military quick. This is also a good time to attack and conquer your nearest neighbor. Build your armies early - probably horsemen are your best bed - 6 attack is pretty high for that part of the game. Use horsemen and swordsmen and axemen to take down your first nearest neighbor - the key is to build up your military fast after you have a few good economically productive cities.
