Some people in the UK are very polite and apologise in case they have caused offence.

I am the worlds worse for this. I say sorry far to much. Most of the time I really want to say "Excuse me but what the feck do you think you are doing? Are you feckin blind?"

brits have a problem with spontaneity and being quick, they have to explain themselves and stutter a lot like hugh grant, otherwise if they do anything fast like getting out of a taxi without pondering a lot they get confused

I don't do that. If someone pushes me and says sorry that means they are guilty of something for apologising. I make them pay me compensation. (just a joke)

He got mad at you? How immature. The reason they say sorry is because they are really polite, and I think that people who apologize for things they did not even do are insecure.

It's a very British thing. It also helps if you think that person is going to turn round & clout you for your minor misdemeanour.

because you say sorry the other person says sorry you both give an apologetic little smile and then every one can go on their way feeling happy and not disrespected
