A few Tetras.
A Blue Panaque Plecostomus (maximum length is 4").

A Male Betta is always a nice addition.

A 10 gallon tank you are limited. Make sure you have good filtration and preform weekly water changes (20-25 % depending on how many fish you introduce).
A rule of thumb is 1 gallon per 1" of fish. So if you were only going to use smaller types of Tetra's you could put more in. But I would suggest some type of Pleco (Chinese algae eaters become overly aggressive when mature).

Good Luck

A small school of guppies or tetras. Angelfish are WAY too big, even 1 angelfish needs a 20gallon tank. And no goldfish, they're very dirty and also need large tanks and strong filters. Pick a small fish and buy no more than 5 of them- don't forget, 1 inch of fish per 1 gallon of water, no exceptions. And you measure the adult size of the fish, not the baby size.

Small community fish. A dwarf gourami, some neon tetras and a few dwarf cory catfish supply you a intense-high quality little community tank. approximately 10 small fish in entire. Makes particular the heater isn't too enormous for a 10 gal. Ian

I have a ten gallon tank. there are 2 types gof fish that you can put.
Agressive: grammies, bigger cat fish, and other big fish. these are really nice and they are really cool to.
Then there are community fish or non agressive: these are one of the best to have and they are kinda cheap. this goes with all types of tetras and neons. small corys(small kind of catfish) and small algi eaters. there are also many different types of community fish. if you got the fish store they will show you agressive or non agressive if you ask.

Tetras are fun cause they are small and colorful , they require a heater as the goldfish do not
Red eye tetras and neons and even some lemon tetras would be a fun aquarium cause they are 1 inch you could get 8 as opposed to maybe 1 or 2 goldfish

longfin zebra danios are a very interesting fish for regular/sparse tank cleanings ,so are cherry barbs and for a really hardy fish try a salt@pepper catfish , we have one and it is the only thing in a 30 and its plenty fine..we also had it in a 10 too so any of these fish would be good

neon tetras are a good choice - they don't grow very big (about 1-1/2 inches) so you can have a few in there (5-6 depending on how many decorations you put in the tank). They are by far, the prettiest of the tetra family and they are very easy to maintain.

A small placostamus catfish to clean the algae.

A couple of clown loaches who bottom feed and keep it clean

A couple of large sail fin mollys and and another pair of docile swimmers of your choice. These four fish will give you motion.

You might notice that the above Fish cover the whole tank with their eating habits and will help keep it clean.
