I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite laptop, and I will be leasing an older used laptop from my job for $100, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I could do with the leased laptop. I also have a 6 year old Compaq desktop that I will attempt to replace the HD, and add memory to get 512mb. Any opinions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I thought about using the desktop for a cool gaming computer with a bunch of cool old games and even some new ones. How would I go about doing that?

Hi. Most laptops including some older models can be equipped with wireless cards for accessing the internet at hot spots. This will allow access to email etc, but not gaming. Or you could donate it to a local seniors facility.
