My baby is 3 months. His pee pee has been looking a little wierd. I took him to the doc and he said it was a yeast infection. Hes pee pee is red and swollen on one side. It does not seem to bother him, but it has not gotten any better! My doctor tells me not to pull the foreskin down while changing him, but I always heard that you do? Any ideas what this could be? am I over reacting? I mean I know he sits in a diapar all day but I just dont want it too look like this forever!

There is NO need to RETRACT (pull back) the foreskin on an infant. That may very well be what caused the infection. An infants foreskin is adhered to the glans (head) of the penis like a finger nail to a finger.
It can cause small tears if you pull it back AT ALL! Also, there is aridged band, at the tip that acts as a sphincter to keep foreign matter out of the urethra. Premature retraction is the NUMBER 1 CAUSE OF UTIs in intact boys! If you leave it alone it will stay healthy. Just wipe like a finger.
It will naturally retract sometime before puberty. There is no need to rush it, as it is a self-cleaning organ. Just like you don't clean out a girl's vagina, you just wipe the outside!

Sometimes the tip of the foreskin is red, just like the inside of your labia is a bit red it is NORMAL! If the doctor did a culture (which he should) just use the medication prescribed on the OUTSIDE of the penis and leave the foreskin where it is.
