First of all don't listen to Dope( the first responder) he is completely wrong. 1 guppies are not schooling fish. 2. You can have 1 fish per gallon in your tank... if the fish are small you may be able to have 2 per gallon. Bottom feeders don't count nor do snails or crabs.

And to correctly answer your question. White Clouds, Danios, Loaches, tetras, platies, gouramis, and pacus. can go with guppies. Go to your local privately owned pet store and they will be very helpful. There are many varieties of the fish I listed above. If you need more help email me.

Rubber Lip Pleco (they stay small)
Botia Striata
neon tetras
1 betta, pref male (i've had some evil famale bettas in my time)
pristella tetras
horse face loach

Do not get barbs or gouramis.

One other interesting fish you could consider is a freshwater sole / flounder. They prefer nearly the same water conditions as the guppies (slightly saltier than average). They start really small, and will eventually get big enough to eat your extra babies. They're really cool fish that climb up the glass & then throw themselves off the top like a sheet of paper falling in the wind. They have a hard time thriving in most aquarium setups and die before adulthood most of the time. I really enjoyed having a couple in my guppy tank to help balance out the population.

I have a tank with guppies, and a male Betta gets along very well with them. Actually anything gets along with guppies

Other non-aggressive fish such as mollies, platties, and neon fish. There are many, many more but these are the more common (and just as easy to take care of).
