If your new boyfriend or casual boyfriend does nothing for Valentine's Day (no gift or card) after dating for a short time does that mean there is no future and he isn't really interested?

Well, I think even a "short termer" could handle an inexpensive bunch of flowers or a small box of candy and a card.
You know, Valentines Day started out as a nice day to remember that special someone in your life. Now it's turned into a Christmas nightmare! Pressure to get the perfect, most expensive giftssss. Not fun anymore...lost it's sentiment. Everyone expects something. But I digress....if you mean something to him I wouldn't think he would let the day pass without a small something or another just to acknowledge his feelings/interest and respect for you.

i don't think you should use that as the only deciding factor as to whether or not there is a future in the relationship or not. Now if the next holiday rolls around and still nothing...that may weigh a little more because you've been together longer.

I don't know that a casual boyfriend would be obligated to any valentines day recognition.

There's still hope, it's not Valentine's Day yet. I, personally, would buy him something cute (you could make it small) like candy or chocolates, and make him feel bad for not getting you something. I hope this helps.

Yes and No. Yes because it shows that you weren't worth his time to go to the store and just at least buy a card. and No because maybe you mean to much to him that he didn't want to buy you something that everyone else has, because he thinks you're special.

no, but you can remind him its coming up, and let him know you dont want anything expensive, that you just want to spend some quality time with him- theres lots of fun stuff you can do w/o spending much money. sometimes boys need reminders of stuff thats coming up.

hes either cheap or doesn't really care, so I'd say, wait and see what else he does and then decide if you wanna dump em..
