It's the attitude you develop when you are considered second class. It makes you tough and gives you an edgy I don't need their sh*t anyways attitude. Street smarts sort of a thing. Being Irish used to be one small step above being black in this country. It comes from the same place in the human psyche that gave black people jive, Jazz, blues, hip hop and all that other cool stuff us white people have been jealous of over the years. There were studies done about this by sociologists over the years so please believe I'm not pulling this out of my *ss
