It wasn't Creepshow. That was burial up to the neck on the beach followed by drowning at high tide.
The method was used in Scorpion King, but that's not a horror flick.

Wasn't that done in "The Scorpion King"? I know he was buried up to the neck...I don't quite remember if they put something sweet on him, though.
