As long as there's no itching or redness, you should be fine. It will still occasionally hurt for awhile; your choice of earrings might have something to do with that. When I got my ears pierced, I kind of "eased" myself into wearing dangly or heavy earrings; I started with just studs and then hoops, or really lightweight dangly ones that you can hardly feel. Make sure you swab your earlobes with rubbing alcohol every day to keep away infection. The first time I got my ears pierced, I was 16, and for some reason, the holes never healed. They were constantly infected. I think it was b/c I didn't clean them often enough or something. Anyway they hurt so bad that I finally stopped wearing earrings and let the holes grow back together. I got my ears pierced again when I was 20, and did everything they told me to do, to the T, and they healed just fine...and my ears are still pierced now, seven years later. So the moral of that story is take care of your ears! :) Good luck.

This may be the case for many people who have their ears pierced (I have mine done, but it was very long ago), however, there is a simple way to take care of it. The holes in your ears are essentially a wound until several months after they've been pireced. This means that putting earrings in and taking them out is similar to doing the same action to a cut on your hand or other body part. They hurt because you are exapanding, ever so slightly, the cut in your ear, which will heal bigger then it is supposed to if you do not put something lighter in. My suggestion is to chose a lighter pair of earrings, keep them in for about 1-1.5 more months, and then try heavier ones. I experience something similar to your situation and my right ear hole is significantly bigger then my left, it probably could not heal over at this point, and you would be wise to consider this.

Yes, it was normal for me. I just got mine 8 weeks ago, and I would try to put in dangly earrings, but it would hurt! It also would hurt when I shook my head too.
The instructions say to not wear dangly earrings until 6 months have passed ( I know what it's like, though, you want to wear the pretty earrings!) So, lately I have just worn post earrings, and they are fine.
Long story short, yes, it was normal for me. I had and have no infection!
Good luck with your new earrings! : )

It dose'nt sound like you have an infection. I would take out the heavy and dangling earings. You don't want to irratate your ears, they are very sensitive right now. I waited a year before i wore heavy and big earings. Right now stick with some small ones. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Mine has been in for 2 months and still feel it hurt a bit when I twist. As long as it isn't infected or tender to the touch when squeeze earlobe and no discharge should be fine. Just some peroxide once a day after a shower or bath.

it is commonplace to have itching, crusting and redness and heat temperature for some days. be sure and use the cleansing answer you have been given and do it often, or you need to use rubbing alcohol. as quickly as I have been given my ears pierced years in the past, they did not have cleansing answer, you used rubbing alcohol. It stings, even nevertheless it works. you will possibly desire to provide that a attempt. They do inform you to not get rid of the rings for six weeks, so as that would desire to point it takes particularly a at the same time as for them to heal.

Yes that's normal, but to keep from getting infections (redness & itching) you should use disinfecting solution for your ears everyday. It keeps your ear piercing clean and healthy.

it hurts because you've been stretching your ear holes. You'll be fine.
