When I learn another language, I find that it's helpful to listen to songs in that language. They help you remember tenses and verb/subject agreement. Another idea is getting a penpal or going into chatrooms in English, so you could practice.

I was not good in English and never been good either. But i keep myself busy reading on books, hearing some CD english conversations, surfing net in Eng. languages, and jot down some words which i cant understand and search the meaning thru a dictionary. It helps a lot too.
*If u can afford to pay a tutor, then u may get one.
**Daily conversation to English speakers is better than particular reading, as it could give the guts to speak also & make u learn more.

I would personally prefer a tutor
But, I can't afford one.
My teacher helps me out for free. Maybe you could ask them for help. Another way is to make flash cards of everything you would need to know.
