EMERGENCY CHEERLEADING!!!Please!!?
Ive been in gymnastics for 3yrs and can do flip and stuff, (no backwards stuff!) But i dislocated my wrist and now i cant do anything! And cheer tryouts are next friday!!! What should i do i keep practicing and its better then last week but wont be good enough!! Any tips for my flips and cheer/ chants?? please help!!!

When you go to your try-out let them know that you are injured and don't want to re-injure yourself.

Show them you have enthusiasm and drive and all of the other qualities that would make you a good cheerleader.

If you have a video/ dvd/ pictures of you doing gymnastics, take them and show them that you are devoted to the sport and that you're going to be back on your 'hands' soon enough.

Sit out this season and let your wrist heal. You'll be glad you did.
Or get a second opinion and ask your doctor what the outcome might be if you keep stressing this type of injury. Then ask yourself if cheerleading is really worth it. I suffered a similar injury to my ankle when playing softball. The emergency room doctor said I would have been better off breaking my ankle. That was encouraging to hear. NOT!! I decided to give up on the game I lived for for so long , so I could still walk in my old age. That was 22 years ago, and sometimes I still have pain.

So please think about your health.

Don't aggravate your wrist. It won't heal as quickly, or as well. Try again next time. :)

live cheerleading cause it is dangerous being wih your broken wrist/.

go cheer and deal wit the wrist l8er! comming form a cheerleader, it will b worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
