Apparantly Osama is now writing the rights talking points.
No liberal ever said we deserved to be hit on 9/11. Anecdotal rantings from one or two nutcases don't count.

Sounds like you're making a statement, and disguising it as a question. There could be a place for you on Fox News.
I've never heard anyone say that we deserved the attack on 911 and that Bin Laden was just in the attack.

The "liberals" you speak of are probably pointing at the fact that Reagan and Bush II's Daddy gave weapons and money to both Saddam and Osama Bin Laden back in the 80's.
You just never know when a Republican is going to like you (thus give you weapons and money) or when they're going to knock you down (the Iraq war against Osama Bin Laden who had nothing to do with Iraq in the first place, but the Republicans didn't like Saddam anymore so...)
Wow. I think I'd need to go back to 7th grade and stay there to be a Republican.
Ok, so do you believe everything said on Al Jazeera (you spelled it wrong so I doubt it)?
Why didn't your beloved Prez GET Osama Bin Laden finally, after his Daddy propped him up??? Guess he's not the Big Man on Campus all you righties make him out to be, now is he? Fact is, you Republicans have propped up both Saddam and Osama Bin Laden. That makes Republican "logic" very dangerous to our country.
Who do you guys like (fund and give weapons to) today that you will knock down tomorrow? It's the same type of deal you see with 7th graders, only it involves the deaths of our soldiers and citizens and innocent Iraqis right now, instead of paper airplanes and lipstick.

There isn't a liberal alive who feels that innocent Americans and people from around the world deserved to die on 9/11.
(remember, it was the WORLD trade center, there were many countries represented there)
If someone feels this way, they are not a true liberal, they are a radical.
Osamas motivations for planning the attacks are many and complicated, but one of the major things that he was upset about was the fact that Americans had built military bases on Muslim holy land during the first gulf war. This to him was a slap in the face to his whole culture and way of life. He was understandably upset, and then because he is a jerk of a person, decided to use violence to show his anger.

Liberals hate their (our) country. They think it makes them look good to hate America because of what our ancestors did to the natives. What jerks! I'm surprised they don't heed Scooby Doo's words; "It's a little too late to worry about that now!!"
Did you notice the key words? "Bin Laden hates the LIBERAL U.S. culture that promotes contraception, abortion, and homosexuality."
WoW!! We might just be able to stop the war and rid ourselves of the liberal traitors by simply giving Bin Laden all of our libtards to kill and mutilate!!! Two birds with one stone!! Quick! What's his phone number??
You get an A+!

Can you site the exact place where you read/heard the quote of a liberal stating that "we deserved the attack on 9/11"? Because I don't ever recall seeing or hearing that comment, and I think that if someone stated that it would be newsworthy. Could that have come from one of the voices in your own little world??
As for why OBL hates America, it has nothing to do with politics. It has everything to do with our decadent ways - we are one of the richest nations in the world, and we do not believe as he and his religion believes (hmm. . . Hating others for not sharing a point of view. . . Sounds vaguely familiar to me). Not to mention women are not considered property, but equals (well, for the most part) in this society. He hates what America stands for.
So if one would wish to get "technical", he hates the ones that back the rich corporate ideals of this country. So who really brought on 9/11??

Bin Ladin hates America for the same reason as the Iranian mullahs, Christian kooks like Pat Robertson, flat-earth enviro-wackos, French neo-fascists of the LePen ilk, and the rest of the chronically cross: because we are the great tempter. From the time of the first English settlers here, America has been the land where individual people had a better chance of realizing their goals and potential than anywhere else. (And yes, I admit the record's been imperfect, especially for those with black or red skin.) No other country in human history has been founded on the promise of enabling "the pursuit of happiness."
And it's this ability to find happiness within oneself, without reference to the Muslim Koran, Christian Book of Revelation, Mein Kampf, or prayers to the great Earth goddess Gaia that drives the fundamentalist jerks of all persuasions beserk. For Bin Ladin or Khomeinist mullahs in Iran, the very existence of a land promising fulfilment of the individual undermines everything they stand for and seems to be the incarnation of Satan--whose main attribute for Muslims as well as Christians is to be the Great Tempter. The angry of the earth--the people who take umbrage at anybody else's pleasure, whom H.L. Mencken called "wowsers"--will continue to strive to destroy our earthly paradise as long as it exists.
As for your second question, there are indeed some liberals (not just libertarian wingnuts like me) who recognize the danger from radical Islam and are taking a principled stand. The most articulate of them may be Chritopher Hitchens, whose articles you can see via this link--http://www.hitchensweb.com/.
But I would also argue that over-reaching by the current US Administration is a great source of support and comfort to the Bin Ladins. Having exhausted our military capabilities in a faith-based campaign in Iraq, we are letting the Taliban and al-Qaida reconstitute in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Having based our detainee and interrogation policies on the best practices espoused by Jack Bauer on "24", we hand propaganda victories to the bad guys and sap the morale of troops and intelligence agents called on to implement torture. We can and must do better.
