Are you using a laptop with a touchpad? My mouse was set up to left click when you tapped the pad even gently and it was so over sensitive I was deleting stuff and dragging things into folders accidentally. If so you can adjust the settings using the icon on the bottom right of the screen.

I do think there are mouse settings that allow you to set your mouse to execute on hovering, but I'm not sure about that. However, a friend has a Dell computer that has done the same thing since it was new. She even sent back to Dell and it still does it. It's very aggrevating! Check your mouse settings for starters. HAD SAME PROB DID THE DRIVERS/SPYWARE STUFF BUT STILL THE SAME CHANGED MY MOUSE AND HAS BEEN OK SINCE
