She hasn't eaten the fish, but I put the fish in her tank with her. She's kind of a chicken, though, and the fish seems to know he couldn't beat her, so they're co-existing in a weird way. I don't know if she's even going to eat him, I just was wondering if it would hurt her...I don't want to be watching them constantly for the next--God Knows.

Thanks, everyone for the useful advice--you know who u are.

Your turtle shouldn't get sick unless there's a chance there's something very wrong with the beta. Watch closely and look for any changes in behavior, physical aberrations, anything out of the ordinary. Turtles eat goldfish and they're more likely to carry anything than a beta.

turtle eats fish. but i guess your turtle hasn't mastered the skill of catching fish for the last 5 1/2 years, that's why your beta fish is still alive in the same tank with your turtle. you can try holding the fish to your turtle's mouth and your turtle will make the fish a delicious meal!

Turtles do eat fish, but not that often, especially as they get older. The Betta should be OK, but it is not a good idea to put fish and turtles together.
