My school(grade school) has had some very serious bullying issues that staff members are overlooking. I have not been bullied, but I've witnessed countless times during a day that other kids have, and in the most cruel of ways. I want to send a formal, anomynous letter to my school and explain to them these problems and suggest solutions. I just will include what exactly is going on, so they know. If they figure out I sent the letter, will I get in trouble? Is there some kind of human rights law that will make it okay? I'm not going to send anything mean or nasty- I just want to mention bullying issues.

It will be perfectly fine to send the letter; you are trying to help. However, I think that the main problem is sending it. If you are able to keep a straight face, drop the envelope discreetly on your teacher's desk. Mailing may present problems through postage, return addresses, etc. Schools also claim that they can track emails.

You sound like a very responsible and mature young person to be worried about the bullying that is going on in your school.

I think that sending anonymous letter to the school is a great idea. You may want to discuss this with your parents before doing so, just so they will not be in the dark about the entire thing, and can back you up if need be.

It is very encouraging to know that there are still some mature young people out in the world who are not self-centered, and truly care about others. Best of luck and have a good night.

YES! If you state your concerns in the letter as well as you have here on this board, then you should write up your concerns and talk to your principal or guidance counselor. I'm a teacher and I would hope that there are more students out there wanting to speak out against bullying. You may be a student, but you are not powerless. When you find the right words to put in your letter, find the guts to sign it and ask the principal if there is a time that you can talk to them about a concern. My principal is always willing to listen. You ROCK!

That is very kind and considerate for you to do. Nice to see there are responsible young people out there trying to make things better at their school. You can not get into trouble for voicing your opinion. As long as you watch the language. Chances are they will never know it was you unless you tell others. Good for you! Hopefully this will be enough to enforce changes in your school.

Yes you should, and you will probably not get in trouble, unless the bullies find out. You could put it on your teachers desk, or bring it down to the main office or the principal.
