The democratic peace theory states that democratic nations never go to war with each other. A number of political leaders, scientists, and even our president have espoused this notion. Therefore it is implied that if all nations in the world were democratic there would be no wars. When is a nation considered democratic? Does the advance of democracy lead to a more stable world? Why or why not?
