The democratic peace theory states that democratic nations never go to war with each other. A number of political leaders, scientists, and even our president have espoused this notion. Therefore it is implied that if all nations in the world were democratic there would be no wars. When is a nation considered democratic? Does the advance of democracy lead to a more stable world? Why or why not?

If every country considered themselves a demorcratic country, that would totally suck because democarts are so dumb and blind and need to be ignored, but there would still be terrorist out there no matter what because everyone can't be happy and they would try to mess with us and the dumb democarts would let us all die...

Not the way democracy is going, with politicians doing whatever they feel like once elected. Everyone knows now that they are a growing bunch of arrogant liars, only interested in their own goals. Soon i reckon there will be a revolution in many countries, and people will be knocking up their own Guillotines, and we will all be back to square one, with a few of those arrogant heads severed. :)

No, our country will just end up in pieces, and smoking. I really dont understand the hate between republicans and democrates. Im republican and i dont hate democrates. I just have some opinions that i disagree with. But I hate war too, but without it, where would we be? its necessary

hell no, theres more dems in congress and if dems didnt want troops in iraq they wouldnt have allowed bush to send more*remember congress has to agree and if bush says no and congress says yes congress's word over presidents.-yupp i payed attention in history
