An ancient 1951 Mercury that was old back then! Really!!!
Bought it from a guy on Hollywood Boulevard for $50! Candy apple maroon with grey undercoating on the trunk and hood. No 1st gear and had a 'manual reverse' - you went out and pushed the darn thing!
But the best mechanical part were the dual glass packed mufflers! Took it to the beach every day during the Summer.
The bestest and most funnestest car ever!

How cool! My first car was a 1962 Chrysler Newport, grey with red leather interior, and a big block engine.

How coincidental that they were the same make and model, and only a few years apart.

well mine was actuly two vehicles. I got a 1986 Ford LTD brougham, 3.8L V-6 four door sedan. And a 1978 Ford Econline F150 extended body cargo van. 5.8L V-8 Detroit motor. Goddess she hauled 0-60 in 5. some seconds.

So the first car I bought was 1988 convertible Chevy Camero-Z28 in red 5.7, V8...... I painted it over white

at 16, my dad got me a brand new, red, Geo Tracker convertible. So cute, but pretty impractical.
