I do believe in God, if you are wondering. Sometimes i look around and wonder about all these things in this world that we have created and wondered, Why? I think we have made things so complicated for ourselves. Please tell me what you think.

I think that same question myself many many times over. The only explanation that I can come up with is that we are here as some sort of test to prove ouselves worthy in God's eyes. I am not one who believes in attending church all the time or praying every day, but I know that if we love each other and show compassion towards those who truly need it, we will pass God's test.

While I don't know what that last responder was talking about, I can't say I have a definite answer. Maybe there is life on other planets, and maybe God created this 4-D universe to place our souls here. What I do know is we yearn to love and be loved in every unique relationship we have, maybe before we even think rationally. We evolved as village dwellers, and I think a lot of people's dilemnas in the modern world stem from a deep need to be connected to others, including animals and plants. It's too easy for people to become disconnected in the way of life we have established. Many elderly people die with no remaining companions. If we related more with our extended families and connected on a deeper, more intimate level with the community, the world would be more of a network than it is now. The food we buy is a processed commodity, but to many cultures food serves as a major component that connects and sustains people. In many poverty-stricken areas of the world, people find true happiness by celebrating life as we are meant to: their identity is more than an isolated person but as part of the group.

I have thought about it, many times. I've come to the conclusion "Because..that's why". The purpose of my life (in a biological sense) is to pass on my genes.

Of course, I am part of a species that has a brain which has evolved to be inquisitive and ask questions, so I do that as well.

I also need to pay for a shelter and food, so work to earn money.

Not poetic, but real.

If somebody created a gadget and gave it to you, and you looked at it and had absolutely no earthly idea how it worked, what it does, etc.....who would you ask? Would you ask your neighbor, friend? Or would you ask the creator. You say you don't know your earthly purpose. Ask the creator. And be willing w/ an open heart to submit wholly to His purpose and will.
In Christ, Lina.

I was wondering about this only today; like how did human kind come about in the first place? and what would earth have looked like before any form of life...there would have been no grass or trees. And also, what is it going to be like in 50 years? what kind of world am I going to die in compared to what i was born in?

Of course everyone thinks about their existence at one point in time.

We ( as humans ) are in this life to learn and GROW!
We do not have a power to change others but we have that power to change ourselves.

For better or for worse its our own destiny....
