How do you get pets in World of Warcraft?

Welcome to Azeroth. First if you want a full time companion to hunt along side you when you can't find a group then start a hunter. You can choose from a wide variety of pets after yo reach level ten and do a chain quest to get your beast taming rod. You can have up to 3 different pets but you can only have one out at a time, you must pay for stable slots for the others. If you want to be a spell caster and have a pet, become a warlock. They call up several different creatures to do their bidding. U can also find non-hunting pets like draklings, cats,birds, etc either by finding them as drops off your dead prey or buying them in cities. Yes engineers can make mechanical dragons and chickens that fight for them but they don't last very long. If you have any other pet questions, feel free to email me :)

Only hunters and warlocks can have creatures accompany them into battle. As for novetly pets (little ones that just follow you) they're sold in major cites, in the auction house, on trade channels, etc. Engineers can also make mechanical pets, but they don't fight either.

If you mean cats, you can buy them in the auctions or you can find the catlady and buy a carrier. The cats come with it. If you mean the larger animals, you must be a hunter. Level 10 and you can get one. Be sure and save your meat if that is what you want.

Well step one stop being a noob!!lol Jk.If you are a hunter then you get it at 10 after some quests(and they can fight) and if you are horde you can go to UC and get roaches or Bootbay and get parrots.

I don't know, but does anyone know if there are foxes that you can have as pets? That would be cool.
