On a 1993 Astro Van the only really frequent problem area's you have to worry about are;
Upper Ball Joints
Lower Ball Joints
Pitman Arm
Idler Arm
Wheel Bearings
EGR Valve
Fuel ("Spider") Injectors
Fuel Pump
Multi-funciton switch
Other than those and about a dozen more frequent problem areas, yeah, its the best-built vehicle on the planet

Yes I had one that had never ending electrical problems, but I wouldn't thrash all Astro's because of this...hard to say what the van was put through before I got it.
And I guess if the astro attracts people like hellonwheels41....... that would be a definite turn off......

Wow, what was that all about.....I would get the tbi eng (VIN code "Z"). It has a little less power than the vortec, but is not full of fuel problems.
