Definetly the 90's because you had the like of Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, Mankind, DX, Ministry of Darkness, that was when the WWF was at its best, now it is more of a TV soap, and less wrestling.

It was the 90's no question. That was the era that- on current form-will never be repeated. You had Stone Cold wrestling every week, The Rock on the mic every week, Mick Foley as Mankind/Cactus Jack,The Undertaker in his prime.Oh yes, and a little known outfit called DX featuring HHH, New Age Outlaws,HBK,X-Pac & Chyna.
That was the era of proper wrestling with heels & faces.Ppl we identified with & liked. Now we have diva bikini contests, Torrie & her little dog,Kelly Kelly & her airhead mates poledancing. It may be entertainment folks, but it ain't wrestling. It seems WWE prefers the T&A factor to the golden age we had like 10/12 years ago.Happy Dayz!!

early to mid 90's wwf was entaertaining and didnt look quite so choreoraphed and staged, which it is. the wrestlers(actors) were skillful and had character as opposed to being overly loud mouthed and irritating. wrestling now is more of a soap opera.
however some of the best wrestling was latino or old british stuff. Check out the 1980's brittish wrestling including early footage of a bout in the uk with bret hart. you can find it on youtube.
i liked the undertaker, tatanka and razor ramone from wwf
eddie guerrera and the hardy boys including lita deserve a mention and of course the old brit wrestlers like cat weasle and giant haystacks

I have to say that I think that the 90's script was better. Because you only had about 10-15 really famous wrestlers. Things really centered around them. And that was kinda boring. Not to mention, their scripting was getting really unrealistic. The 90's came down to earth a little bit, and started working on getting more wrestlers. They concerned themselves with creating persona's and more realistic scripts. Unlike in the 80's they really didn't elaborate on the persona, just the scripting and the rivalry. Now, in the mil, however, I think that there are just too many wrestlers to keep up with. Because of that there are so many scripts and so many rivalries that it's hard to keep up with and ends up being the same ol' same ol'. That to me is why the 90's is better.

i agree with them all, 90's!!!! You had the rock and stone cold. Mankind was brill. Kane was actually scary!!!! And you had the best factions the WWF has had for....well........ever! D generation X, the one with x-pac, chyna, bulldog, triple H and all those leges! That was the time when people actually wanted to watch it. Now, it's alright, but alot of the wrestelers are rubbish and are really un popular. ESPECIALLY on smackdown! They have all these random wrestelers that are so uninteresting to watch like, "jimmy wang yang" and all those crappy cruiserweight people! Plus in the nineties (and mayb the first couple of years in the 2000's) they had my favourite faction of all time....TEAM EXTREME! when Lita was liked by everyone and was 'X-treme' (then she had to go off with Edge :(! ) so definetly the nineties. Oh yeah and one more thing, in the nineties, ECW wasn't as commercialised as it is now and that's how i prefered it, now its just turned into another wwe, before it was much more extreme and interesting......ok ive just realised ive written the equivalent to the bible lol, better go bi!

90s. You got great wrestlers in there, Vince cared about good wrestling back in those days.. Now in 2000s, its all about the money.

Early 90's. You had Macho Man Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, The Rockers, and all other sort of greats.
