A back flip isn't actual gymnastics terminology, but it's used to describe many things. A back tuck is specifically jumping in the air, tucking into a ball, and rotating backwards - then landing on your feet of course. A back flip is often a back tuck, or sometimes it refers to a back handspring, where you land on your hands before your feet.
