They're not really sad...they're more so....mellow. pensive. melancholy. Okay, so, try Joshua Radin, and Norah Jones. Okay, I really hope you check into them....they're amazing!

there is a cd of nock cave with kelly minogue and most of the songs are pretty sad, and a bit dark
The lady of Shallott- Lorena Mckennit, the lyrics are pretty sad but beautiful and the music is very nice.
