NEVER poke around in the mouth of a lizard with a sharp or hard object. You can cause Serious damage, and may even puncture the throat or soft palate. It doesn't sound like a broken jaw, but it does sound dislocated. A vet visit is in order, or the jaw may never heal properly.

If you don't have the money, take her to a local humane society and ask for help. I had to do this once with a cat, and they were very understanding and allowed me to do payments, but I had to have 20% up front. Which was only $20.00.

If she's having problems with crickets, you may want to switch to meal worms.

Good luck.

Usually bright beautiful coloration in an animal that changes color for camoflage indicates -severe stress or pain-

I agree that you may have broken or dislocated her jaw. What size crickets were you feeding her? I don't know a bunch about chameleons, but I do know that you're not supposed to feed them anything that looks like it might be big enough for them (smaller food items than you would think), and from what I remember, even adult chameleons shouldn't be fed large crickets.

Find the money to take her to a vet, or find someone who HAS the money to take her to the vet and give her a better home.

You used tongs?

Sounds like you might have broken her jaw.

Find a way to take her to the vet. If you can't afford it, you shouldn't have a pet

Try to work out a payment plan

take her to a pet store that deals with reptiles. you may have to feed her meal worms for a while. she may be impacted. if that is the case then you will have to give her some serious care. i hope roxy gets better. are you feeding her crickets that their size is equal to the space between her eyes? they should be no bigger than that. meal worms don't have to meet that requirement.
