I think there are only 5 .. the 5 i kno are....
For support
Shape
Protection
movement
making blood cells
so the ones you did not say were shape, support and movement that would make 8..... bcoz u hav sed attachment support blood cell producion mineral storage and then support shape movement.
i did not know mineral storage was a fuction of a skelton i dont think thats rigth but it could .. i took pe 4 a gcse n hav learnt the 5 functions of the skeleton and they are the 5 i have said.

there are four main functions to the skeleton: the first one; as you said is protection for your vital organs. e.g your cranium protects your brain, ribs and sternum protect your heart and lungs and Vertebral protect your spinal cord. The Second; which you also said, is to enable movement, obviously without it, we wouldn't be able to move! Thirdly, is for shape and support, it gives our bodies the look that it has. With that, are the bone types, long being the important ones, which determine our height, and arm span. Finally, the final function is blood production. Mainly red blood cells, but some white are formed in the cavities of the marrow of the larger bones, e.g the femur and humerus. hope that helped :D

Well, red bone marrow provides new blood cells, and yellow marrow produces fat cells. The skeleton also is used for movement, without the skeleton, we would not be able to move. The third is most likely cushioning. Joints are constructed in order to absorb impacts.

Perhaps the different minerals count as different functions?

Movement?
I mean, it also requires the muscles and such, but without the bones to pull on, movement is impossible
