Children are cruel these days.
Imagine how the child would be teased.
A girth is defined as a saddle belt or a distance around something.
Cooter is a large freshwater turtle.
Cooter wouldn't be too bad, until maybe the children will find out what it means. Then the kid will be made fun of as being a turtle, or slow. Would you really want that?
It's your choice what to name your child, but consider being in the child's position while growing up with a name such as that.
My real name gets jokes all the time. My name is Svetlana, with the short version of Sveta. Americans butchered it and i became Sweta. Now every time I meet someone new, they crack a joke of Sweater. It's not pleasant.
If you have the choice, don't put your child through ridicule. You can still name it something original without the child being joked about later on in life.

I think if you take a letter out of each one and add another letter, they will be better;
Girth should be Garth
Cletus should be Clayton (sorry more than one letter)
Cooter should be Cooper
Bo-regard should be (Bo-regard is a terrible name! If your gonna go by dukes, at least name the kid duke or Luke or something) good luck and God bless!

Well, all of those names are definitely different. My best advice would be to give the baby one of those as a middle name. And pick something simple and common for the first name.
I think Beauregard is a very nice name

Uhh.... what?
Never heard any of those names.
What do they mean?
Cooter has cooties.
Cletus would win for me if I had to choose from these names but, I really don't like any of them. Mybe they have a better meaning.
Are you speaking another language then English?
