how do i get it to work and NOOOO ITS NOT the light bulb.. it just quit , its 4 years old and is a boun company product. i do need the light to cook ..its the light over your head... thanks a head

Sounds like the lamp socket is giving you trouble. Be certain to shut off power to the range hood and then remove the bulb and clean the socket and bend up the bottom contact thingy. Hood lights are subject to corrosion and grease as they are located right above your cooking.

It's probably the switch try flicking the switch 4 or 5 times and see if it flickers if it does that means there's electricity getting to it and the bulb is good and the problem is most likely in the switch....

what a confusing question lots of, head, light, etc. never heard of boun either. braun or bunn maybe? quartz halogen light maybe? ya lost me and everyone else i'll bet. try again.
