I want to get hip piercings...?

I want to get hip piercings but I've heard good and bad things about them. Does anyone out there have them done? How are they, how long did they take to heal, did they heal? Etc.. anything you can give me.

Sometimes surface piercings are difficult to heal, because, as the body rejects the body jewellery as a foreign object, the jewellery is pushed to the surface, causing the piercing to grow out.

On the hip especially you have to worry about your pant/skirt waistline rubbing the piercing.
