Try rubbing another dry erase marker over it - the reason it's dry erase is because the ink is suspended in alcohol, which then evaporates quickly, leaving the powdered ink behind.

So if you rub another marker of the same type over it, the alcohol will soak into some of hte OLD ink, allowing you to wipe it away (but be quick about it!)

Make sure you only cover the old ink with new ink - don't put new marker on a currently-clean spot.

OK, let's say I knew aliens are gonna abduct me and erase my mind 24 hours ahead of it happening. I would gather all my closest friends, the ones I really love and just try and put onto words what they've meant to me and that though my mind and memories will be gone, as long as I am myself I will never forget them. I would ask my parents and some of those closest friends for forgiveness for all the things that I have put them through. And last, I'd probably rob a band, travel to Las Vegas and then steal or buy a Corvette ZR1 and race through the desert to Los Angeles in the night (I've always wanted to do that).

Try softscrub. When my son was 2 we lived on base housing in Kingsbay, Georgia. The housing was brand new and we were the first family to live in that particular apartment. He got out of bed one morning and found a black magic marker and scribbled over all the cabinets, stove, refrig, etc...in the kitchen. Also everything in the kitchen was white. It took a little elbow grease but we got it spotless by using softscrub cleanser.

Try using regular rubbing Alcohol. It seems to remove permanent marker marks from similar objects. If this does not work try using a multi-purpose cleaner like Simple Green.

Comet! My mom used it to get permanent marker off a wood table!
Try it with a damp cloth and just dip your finger in and rub it off. Don't use too much if you don't want to scratch the surface!
