Global warming began from c1800s - the dawn of the Industrial Revolution here in UK. In previous centuries the River Thames froze over each winter to a depth of about six feet of ice. So strong was this ice that Londoners held annual Frost Fairs in the middle of the river in winter. The last London Frost Fair to be held on the Thames winter ice was in 1816.

Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, which started here in UK, temperatures have been rising steadily. How come nobody noticed? Vested interest perhaps. Who knows.

Global warming is a problem which is not going to go away and nothing mankind does now or in the future is going to make that much difference. We're stuck with it.

In all liklihood, southern Europe will become almost uninhabitable due to the extreme heat of summer when temperatures will soar away above levels now experienced in central Sahara.

If there is any blame then the finger should point directly at the Industrial Revolution.

This is a pretty common question, and people have been saying that we are to blame. I believe we can't completely blame ourselves. I mean, I'm not going to stop driving a car because I'm afraid it'll affect global warming. Almost everything we do is affecting the earth: smoking, garbage, cutting down trees for materials like paper, etc., but we have tried to protect the environment somewhat with recycling. But to the point, the world will end some day, and we aren't entirely to blame. It's just the way it goes.

It's not a qestion of "blame--" no one had any idea decades ago that using fossil fuels on the scale we do could have effects like we are now seeing. Any "blame" can only be laid at the door of those who have worked to distort or connceal the scientific facts (Bush and the oil companies, in other words) and slowed the process of finding solutions.

But as for finger-pointing--the only people I point my finger at are those who mouth off with the intention of turning some group they don't like into a scapegoat.

Solar activity...Polar icecaps are melting on other planets besides ours. Try as they might, I think the global warming enthusiasts would be hard pressed to find a logical way to blame mankind for that.

regrettably the minds of maximum human beings have suppressed to the factor the place they might't comprehend the theory that the solar particularly has an effect on the climate!! isn't that unquestionably insane to think of roughly. they actually are not getting the correlation :) "worldwide Warming" as that is termed (2 many years in the past it develop into "worldwide Cooling") has no longer something to do with mankind putting pollutants interior the air. this may well be a intense-high quality rip-off so as that they might pass expenditures to tax the h*** out human beings with a worldwide carbon tax. that is already in action basically so which you be attentive to. in case you study the "option 3" record which develop into created interior the 70's, they freely communicate production an journey which includes what is going on as a manner to have greater capacity and help the flexibility of instituting a one worldwide government. I observed one respond with a guy or woman announcing everybody might desire to die because of this. that still is a manner of questioning that earnings the creators of this hoax. one greater element so you may well be attentive to in case you do no longer already; NASA and different comparable agencies world huge all help the comparable archives which states that each and all and sundry the planets different than Venus are going contained in direction of the comparable precise climate and atmospheric changes. So except everybody is using around on Mars and Saturn, i think of that is risk-free to declare the better photograph voltaic activity is to blame for rampant climate and alter in temperature. try doing a seek for "David Wilcock" who is going into greater element on the clinical date. wish that helps :)

Enviros are escapist nerd misfits who run away from normal life and hide in academentia. Imprisoned in the Ivory Tower, they soon realize that this is no escape. So they let their minds escape also, into insane scare stories about Nature, fantasizing themselves as Action Heroes saving mankind from self-destruction. Their pathetic real identity as losers is something they can't stand, no matter how much they lie to themselves about having contempt for what normal people think of them. This explains why they fudge data or exaggerate about trends when they pose as experts whose opinions ought to be honored.

If you listen to the media you would think that all scientists are united in believing the propaganda Al Gore is saying. That is not true. There are many who do not. And among those who do only 5% believe in Al Gore's catastrophic conclusions.
