Have you been to your doctor, gynecologist? Trying to get pregnant is not a very easy thing to do some times. If you have being trying for over a year, i would recommend you to go to a specialist in fertility. We went a long way to have our kids!
My gynecologist prescribed my some fertility pills that didn't work, my husband got check and every thing came fine, finally i went to a specialist in fertility and after some test, the doctor told me that i was never going to get pregnant on my own, at leas the first time, so i went for a assisted insemination, i got pregnant but it didn't work, so i had a D&C, and after 3 months i got pregnant on my own. So be petiant, but make sure you dont waste years trying on your own.
I am going to give you some recomendations the doctor gave us.
Take folic acid every day
Buy an ovulation kit so you will know when its time, some times you are going to need two kits, and some months you wont be fertile.
Dont have sex for a cuple of days
When you have sex, do it on your back (he on top of you) and do not stend up of bed for 30 minutes.
Do some exersice if you dont do anything, maybe just walking.
I am not going to tell you to relax, because i know you cant, but enyoy the making of the baby!!!!
Good luck

You have to make sure that you are having sex at the right time, when you are ovulating. There are also some other things that you can do to help with fertilization, for instance having sex in missionary position (guy on top). Another thing that you can do is have him wait a few minutes after he "comes" to pull out, this will keep his semen closer to your cervix for longer. And finally make sure you don't jump right up after sex, lay with your hips elevated a little for about a half an hour to help the little soldiers find their way ;-) Also you should check out www.babycenter.com it is a great website and can give you some more tips on TTC. Hope this helps! Good luck!

A great tool to use is the ovulation calendar at webmd.com
I used it and the very first month I got pregnant... I am now 5 weeks pregnant!
I wish you the best of luck.
PS - You are usually most fertile 2 weeks after your period, for about 3-4 days.
