I didn't come there personally, however, several members of my church did. I was involved in a relief effort for Mississippi here in Fremont, Ohio, called BRT which stood for Bring Relief Today. It was co-ordinated by a woman named Charmaine Lindsey, who has family there. Her father owns a trucking company here in Ohio, and for a month of Sundays, literally, we solicited donations from ours, and surrounding communities, and Mr. Barnett, Charmaines dad, sent 18 wheelers down there totally loaded with food, clothing, cleaning supplies, and whatever else we could get our hands on. In the big scheme of things it didn't seem like a big deal. We know that if something tragic, of the magnitude of Hurricane Katrina hit up here, the folks down there would do the same for us. We are separated by a lot of miles, but neighbors and family in God, all the same.

As a Louisiana resident, I would like to thank all of the volunteers that came to the aid of our great state and to the aid of our great neighbors in Mississippi and Texas. Regardless of political/religious ideology, a lot of wonderful people from all parts of the world have helped us get back on our feet.
God Bless You All!!
