Shouldn't this be in the "Homework Help" section? Think about it ...just use a little simple logic and you can come up with your very own answer.

The input is when you put something in. The output is when you rob the atm. The function is when you are desperate for money you twist the arm on the atm and demand money. The concept is you can get money without robbing the bank. Robbing the bank is another concept, its when you get the output ot the input that the output becomes put. You can get most any denomination from the output.

well its basically a cash machine

you insert your card and the information on that card and your pin is classed as the input, the processing is the machine contacting the bank and varifying details, once varified it is displayed on screen (output) then you input say you want $20 it checks to see if you havve that amount in your bank, registers the transaction with the bank and the machine deposits $20 to you and gives you a reciept (another output

so inputs are
card information, pin, any amounts etc

processes are
machine contacting bank

outputs
on screen display, reciepts and your cash

hope this helps

It's not a function, it's more of an object. It can both dispense money and accept money. I guess you could look at it as a single function if it returned a type "signed currency".

scurrency atm (card, action, optional parameter currency)
{
if action == withdrawal { spit out card; return money }
elseif action == deposit { spit out card; return -money }
elseif action == checkbalance {spit out card; return 0 }
}

The function is to spit out money. The value depends on how much money is in that sucker.
