Depends on who it is and what the question is. But suddenly changing the subject isn't the best way.
>Pretend something caught your attention and go: That was weird. Then make up a whole story about how this guy was doing something odd.
>Pretend your cell phone is vibrating and fake a conversation. Then utter some type of profanity, apologize, and say you have to be somewhere.
>Just say flat out you don't want to answer.
>If it's something thats personalish that relates to everybody shoot the question back at the person who asked you (better not do that one unless you really need it cause the person just might answer).
>Start laughing hysterically at something you overheard.
>Start a coughing fit and then everybody would be forced to ask are you ok and get you water.
>Say you need to pee. Run off to bathroom.
>"Why would you want to know that??"
>Make up an answer

On here or in real life. One here I just don't answer. In real life I will walk away if it is a crude question. Making a fuss about not answering a personal yes no question can give away the answer so I will look them in the eye and say I respectfully refuse to answer that question. Or I ask them why they want to know or tell them it's none of their business.

I ask a question and the subject is usually dropped by the time the other person is finished answering. Sometimes I ask two or three to make sure.

A lot of times I am bluntly honest, I tell the person I do not want to answer the question, now if we are talking about a person in authority, I will answer and honestly.

Side step the issue and change the subject. A good way to do that is point up to the ceiling and say, "LOOK! Is that an owl?" By the time people get un-confused the subject has been changed.

I take a moment of silence and look inside and see what I am comfortable saying.. sometimes I say nothing.. sometimes I change the subject... sometimes I say that is personal... I just look in my heart.. there always seems to be an appriopraite answer in there.. and when I hoenstly can't think of anything to say that I am comfortable saying.. I don't say anything or will excuse myself and go talk to someone less nosy

Depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If I think that they are being noisy in asking the question, I'll tell them Nonya.
