My stools are hard and dry. What can I do to make them softer so that I can pass them? They are so hard right now, it is making me bleed when I poo. Any suggestions?

If u bleed in your stool it could be hemmoroids or something serious, u should see a Dr. However, if you can't at r local pharmacy they sell Stool Softner's there and don't be shy to talk with the pharmasist about which one and the experience u have been going through, he's heard it all. When I went to my Gastroligist he saw blood in my stool and had to go fo a Colonoscopy (that where they sedate you and look up your butt.

I sorry to hear that are you under a doctor care regarding this matter, you may want to contact one. But some times you can eat grapes grape juice, prunes or prunes juice, apples bran products are always good. Do you go to the bathroom when your body tell you to go. Some times we say we go later and it gets hard from being held in. The next time you have to go, just go sit down relax don't hold or fight nature, take a deep breaths and breathe it our Thu your mouth, practice this everyday. Also train your body to go at the same time everyday In the morning went you get up is always good. keep me posted and you take care. For the bleeding use tucks or a little witch hazel.

Drink your proper share of water and eat a diet rich in insoluble fibre.

In the meantime, you can go to any drug store and ask the pharmacist to please point out a stool softener. But, you need to tell the pharmacist about everything else that you may be taking.

Before you go trying everything at the drugstore, see a doctor. There could be a more serious reason for your symptom IE, paulups or an irritable bowel syndrome. Check out webmd, they are a great source for diagnosing medical conditions.

Prune refers to the dried fruit of plum species (mostly Prunus domestica). It is wrinkly in shape, unlike its non-dried counterpart, the plum. More than 125 cultivars of plums are grown for drying. Four of the most common cultivars are French, Imperial, Italian, and Greengage. In general, prunes are freestone cultivars (the stone is easy to remove), whereas most other plums grown for fresh consumption are cling (the stone is more difficult to remove). Fresh prunes reach the market earlier than fresh plums and are usually smaller in size. Prune juice is richer in fiber than plum juice and is often marketed as a treatment for constipation.
