By this i mean the fact that when you turn on wwe television programmes, especially smackdown the women compete about 90% of the time in bikini contests and dance offs. Don't get me wrong, i love to see the beautiful divas but is anyone else annoyed that the women in wwe are mainly portrayed in the ways mentioned above and not really in competitve wrestling matches?
when they do wrestle the matches are usually won within 3 minutes with that really technical wrestling move. You know the one........the schoolboy pin lol
I wish the women in wwe are as competitive as those in tna

WWE Womens wrestling shouldnt even be on air. Its not wrestling it is simply running around and doing nothing. all that I do is switch the channel when the Divas come on. Its plain out rotten Garbarge.

The main reason for this - which alot of people are probably gonna jump on me for - is that at present the WWE Divas are simply not good enough. Now hear me out - compare Mickie James, the current Women's Champ to the great female competitors of the past. Sure she looks good up against Torrie, and Maria and those other divas but she seriously couldn't hold a candle to Moolah, Blayze, Nakano, Jacqueline, Chyna or Lita. For a start her wrestling moves are very limited, she never seems to go out of her way to try and put on a great match and she has absolutely no charisma. She doesn't even have a fully established or explained character. When compared with todays divas, yes she looks ok, but up against the techncial ability of Moolah and Blayze, or the toughness of Nakano and Jacqueline, or the physical dominance and power of Chyna - she's a nothing. It's better for us that the women's division is kept to 3 minute matches at the moment until some real 'wrestlers' are employed to go in it. The only person capable of carrying the Women's Championship at the moment, with the honour it deserves is Victoria.

Couldn't agree with you more dave.that torrie & dog gimmick is the pits.Ooohhh! look at me & my cute li'l dog i'm so cute! Aarrgghh!! Torrie has been with WWE for so long every gimmick has been used she's now reduced to a comedy act.
The other divas especially on S/D are just eye candy not really wrestling divas.On Raw you seem to have genuine ones like Mickie, Victoria & Melina.Even Maria is learning & giving it a real go - i think HBK is training her i read somewhere.I bet vince is regretting firing Gail & Jazz now!
Don't get me started on those 3 on ECW - Kelly Kelly & Co.Brainless bimbos.Kelly was named twice so she wouldn't forget her name.Cute sure but she has no place in wrestling.They should look to TNA & see how it's done! There's more to WWE than the "T&A" factor.

Your right. The only female matches I'll watch are Mickie James, Victoria and Melina. Smackdown isn't even pretending to care about female wrestlers, there's no women's championship over there. So what are they really competing for? But they sure look good in a bathing suit though.

Unfortunately, that's what Vince wants. He's going more for models and not women who are athletic and can already wrestle. He wants to get that T&A factor for the male fans, sell their calanders and dvds, and milk the publicity from them appearing in men's magazines and playboy shoots.
Having a diva that can actually perform a good quality match with someone is going to be an exception to the rule.

That's the exact reason that I've started changing the channel or doing something else every time I hear they're coming on.
The only one I can actually see doing anything is Mickie James and Victoria, but the sad thing is they're portrayed as a bi curious psycho and just a plain crazy *****, respectively.
Seriously, I see no point in there even being a women's division anymore.

Wow, TNA and VKM are doing a storyline about women's roles in wrestling.
Mickie and Victoria are the last two women on the roster with talent. The women's title means nothing cuz WWE puts no effort into the women's division. To be a diva in WWE, you need a set of 34D's.

The divas aren't trained wrestlers they are predominantly if not ALL models and are just there to look pretty! Trish and Lita were the last females in the WWE to have any wrestling ability, there is no women's division to speak of these days, it's all just eye candy!

DUDE U ARE IN LUCK! in a few years i will be in the WWE after high school and i got looks and strength but at the same time IS COMPETITIVE AS ANYTHING! i do not like to loose and i dont loose and im dedicated to what i do and do it right! mickie james is amazing though! shes a true wrestler she traind for 7 years and it has paid off in her 8th.... but trust me oneday u will have competitive wrestling again!
