I'm American but shy and never had a social life.. so i basically never used my speaking from age 5 to now( 27). At least not much.
From society, the impression i get is that I'm worthless since I'm NOT PERFECT in the speaking department. I have other skills, like i speak 2 other languages( also not to a high degree of proficiency but i can clearly communicate in them and help/answer/interact with people of various countries)

Well , but anyways, I'm not perfect at anything...so am i useless just because of that? Am i useless just because i don't have perfect skills? I fail to understand why society looks at people like me like trash, just because we're not perfect

I have never met a perfect person as yet and don't ever expect to. Cheer up. You are just as good as the next person whether you speak good English or not. I have never met a " trashy " person either.

Your typed english isn't that bad... and if you can speak two other languages conversationally, that's a skill most English speaking people don't have (and a very valuable one in many companies and organizations!).

Sounds like you're fine by me. If people give you a hard time, change your surroudings. There are plenty of decent people out there who won't judge you, the trick is finding them ;-)

I don't know where you're from, but if I went into New York City now and talked to random people on the street, I'd probably find that the majority of them did not speak perfect English and in some cases spoke little or no English at all. And they get by just fine.

But NY is a lot more diverse and tolerates it a lot more than other areas.

There's definitely plenty of potential out there for you and never stop improving yourself and your speech!

First of all , your English grammar and punctuation are almost flawless, so I rarther suspect your command of the English language is far more proficient than what you think. I would encourage you to use those skills more often. A good place to begin would be in a small class. How about a cooking class? Arts & crafts? How to play the harmonica..... whatever. It would give you a chance to interact a bit more and have the beginning of a social life. And please.... do not EVER think of yourself as worthless and useless. You have talents... we all do... just as we all have our faults. Look at someone who you perceive to have a perfect life, and I guarantee you this, that person is carrying a burden that no one else knows about.

absolutely no-one is useless. And unless your peers actually TOLD you that (which would be extremely unkind and unprofessional), my feeling is you may be bringing this on yourself through your low self esteem which probably is why your are so shy.
You speak 3 languages! that's a huge accomplishment. Have you sought employment where this skill is very important? Continue to practice speaking all of your languages, especially your English - slowly you will gain more confidence to be able to be more comfortable in any setting.

Is society actually treating you as such, or is this a self perception that manifested from someone close to you telling you that when you were young? And this is baggage you have been carrying around ever since. Just a thought.

The only person who defines you is yourself. If you feel you are not perfect, that is coming internally rather from people around you.

Otherwise: If people really are looking at, or treating you like trash....find new people. Not like there a few million around to choose from.

Of course you are not worthless. Not being able to speak well is a handicap, but it doesn't keep you from doing well in many, many jobs, or doing charitable work, or helping people in hundreds of other ways.

People who look at you as if you are worthless are those who don't understand you and get frustrated with the fact that they don't and, rather than thinking they're stupid, blame you. Try not to take it personally.

you will never be worthless unless you make yourself become worthless, who cares what people think, sometimes you have to make them understand your language skills are not the best, dont go into a conversation with anyone believing what you think or you never get anywhere have a little faith, just remember what goes around comes around, do what is right first and god will take care of the rest.

You just need social skills to get ahead in this world. Start by taking a shot of Doctor Mcgillicuddy's (it smells minty fresh) before you talk to people...it helps loosen you up and fresh breath never hurt anyone. Maybe you shouldn't try this at work...but in any other situation you should be good to go! :)

of course not!! everyone has worth, you can believe me on this because i stutter, and not just a little, i stutter a lot!! there are times when i cant even start a sentence, you have no idea how many things i want to say but i literally cant. there are so many times when people misunderstand me since i cant explain myself properly. at those times i do feel truly worthless, especially when i think how different my life would have been if i didnt stutter. but i try not to let it affect me, despite of my stuttering, i try my best to still talk to people and you know wat? even though i embarass myself a lot, i still know that atleast i'm trying and i know that other people dont know how hard it is for me so i dont let their judgements affect me. so let me tell you that you shouldnt be shy, just come out and show the world wat you are truly capable of because i know that you have it in you. and no matter wat, dont ever think of yourself as worthless, noone is worthless, and even if someone looks at you differently, dont let it shake your confidence! there are always going to be people out there who try to put you down because there are a lot of assholes out there, but i believe that there are more good people than bad. so no matter wat anyone says or thinks, you are not useless!! you just need to come out and show yourself, show everyone who you truly are, show them wats been hiding inside you for all these years!! if you truly are a good person, then good things will come your way. as long as you dont lose faith and stand with confidence then nothing can block your path!!
