I am 37 weeks pregnant and eariler my dog got away from me, so i had to run after him. I'm used to running, but now my pelvic area feels as if someone kicked me in the crotch!!! it hurts bad to walk! what should i do or what? has anyone had this happen to them before? i know my baby has dropped, but it hurts terribly!!!

The pain is probably from the baby having dropped and pressing against nerves and muscles in your lower abdomen. Also, the ligaments tend to loosen up during late pregnancy (which is a good thing for delivery) and may make physical exertion painful that did not hurt before you were pregnant.
However, anytime you feel pain when you're pregnant, CALL YOUR OB/GYN to relieve your mind and to make sure that nothing has happened that is potentially dangerous to your baby or yourself.

It sounds like your pubic bone might have separated. I had that happen with my second. It hurt like hell! You should probably call your doctor just to be safe. If that is what happened, you might want to look into getting a pregnancy belt. It will help support your stomach so your crotch doesn't hurt so much.

When u run after the baby has already dropped your cervix can efface and dialate very very easily....Thats why midwifes and doctors suggest walking or light jogging when u get close to your due date...U are getting closer and closer to your time, but i dont suggest u run after your dog again =)

your pelvic bones start to spread apart to get ready for birth. its the worst. like growing pains. but it shouldn't last long. I had it on and off for a few weeks.
