You listen to some very good bands considering that you're very young, but there's a bunch of bands in there that just seem to be trying to hard to get kids to like them, but you seem to be on a good path. Out of who you like, I enjoy:
Smashing Pumpkins, Queen, Green Day (but mostly the Nimrod era stuff), Iron Maiden, The Misfits, David Bowie, AC/DC, The Beatles, Blur, Cheap Trick, Death Cab For Cutie, The Killers (they're a guilty pleasure of mine), Muse, Nirvana (I hate Nevermind, In Utero is what it's all about.), The Ramones, The Cure, Incubus, & Metallica.
I think you owe it to yourself to listen to the following artists, based on what you list above.
Megadeth, Slayer, Oasis, The Dears, Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, Hüsker Dü, R.E.M., The Minutemen, Big Black, Shellac, Slint, Can, Supertramp, Aphex Twin, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Zwan (Corgan's post-pumpkins group), Wire, Joy Division, New Order, Coheed & Cambria, The Mars Volta.

You have good taste for a 13 year old! Let's see, some of my favorites are Billy Joel, Sarah McLachlan, Vonda Shepard, David Gray, and the Indigo Girls. I also like lots of non-mainstream stuff such as Dar Williams (folk) The Nields (folk) Idina Menzel (Broadway, pop-rock) Erin McKeown (folk, jazz) The Paperboys (Celtic, bluegrass, pop) and Enya (New Age.)

You have a very sosphicated musical taste for your age...when I was 13 Boston and Van Halen were the 2 new acts.Guess that dates me.Ifind it unusual for you to like Iron Maiden AND John Denver but that's OK too.Do you like older Black Sabbath?You'd probably like Aerosmith's first album...except,of course "Dream On"....You should also check out old(pre Phil Collins) Genesis.

I have enjoyed the sounds of some of your fav's, my taste has changed over time. I am now into Warren Barfield, Sara Groves, Superchick (they rock!), Natalie Grant, Yolanda Adams, Matina Munizz, Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Switchfoot, and sooo many more.

My favorites are Led Zepplin,AC/DC,Smashmouth, No Dout,Duran Duran, Fleetwood Mac, Figi, Depeche Mode,2 Pac,Ashanti, and alot more that I can't think of right now.But my absolute favorite is INXS.. the "old" INXS ( with Michael Hutchence R.I.P) DJ is really good replacement though... he's gorgeous!!!! MMMM......
