I think it is sort of equivalent to why Samson in the Old Testament could not cut his, a pledge to God. I know that Samson got his strength as part of that pledge. I am not sure what Sikhs receive but I know that they would rather die than cut it.

im answering your question here that you posted before:

why do muslim people not cut their hair?
---------
You’re mistaken for the religion Seek (sorry for spelling) which is like Hinduism

Don’t mistaken the two! lol

History:
Seek people don’t cut their hair because its part of their religion/culture. We cant exactly say religion because it was never mentioned in their religion, but because they hold on the traditions a lot then its mistaken as religion.

Why don’t they cut their hair?
It’s historical, when Hindus and Muslims were fighting in India, Seeks swore that they are never going to cut one hair off of them or put down their knifes (swords. they wear sometimes under their clothes) until they take out every Muslim from India.

Muslims are in India to this day, more and more people are embracing Islam in India (so this explains the long hair and swords)

Muslims:
Muslims on the other side do trim their hair. They have certain religious/traditional/practice... things such as growing a beard and wearing a religious hat (similar to what the Jews wear) or turban. It’s a symbol of their religion and what their prophet Mohamed used to wear.
