I work at a bar on the weekends and bring home anywhere from $100-$250 per night. Plus I get to get drunk and it's just fun.

I used to make $3.09 an hour at both a casual popular BBQ place and at a more upscale steakhouse. It depends on what shifts I'd get on a given week. I topped out one day at $30+ an hour with the tips figured in. Then again, it was a small town.

As servers/bartenders, we make $7.15 per hour plus our tips...that can equate anywhere from $50.00 to $300.00 per day for tips plus an 8.5 hour shift = $60.75 less taxes (minimal) and that would be take home for 1 day from $100.00 to $360.00 (or up) for your efforts...not too bad...not everyone tips, but it does balance out if you show you like your job, are attentive and just do your job....there is a lot worse...

I worked for Radisson Hotel in the restaurant-made $2.13+tips. Sometimes it was very good, sometimes it was awful. I think the whole world should work for tips. Then maybe the lady at the DMV would say Can I help you? instead of hollering NEXT!

Dude i know waitering, listen to me if you waiter you must be tough and you must not be cheated, best placed to be cheated on pay, and if you dont get a good boss, they will definitly not pay on time sometimes, you must go to them and make sure you get it. its rough. its a hard job and sometimes not good pay. I am telling you from expierience. also law is you make 7.10 dollers a our, minimum wage dude, dont get cheated. make sure you get papers and show it to your boss or person hiring you, and if he is show it to the other employees. personally i would work as a waiter.
