I think thiers like no point to it i mean, how does it help the world at all, and hows it so important

Well it's what makes the sun give off heat and nuclear power work and it's just a small part of the equation. If you look at the whole picture, you couldn't have a TV or accurate GPS without it. If you have the opinion that it doesn't mean anything, I won't argue with you.

This is very important, because he tells that even a little bit of matter has a very large amount of energy, thus the premise of the nuclear bomb, one atom, millions of joules of energy.

This formulae can be the start of the restricted relativity.
So it contains the fact that energy is equivalent to matter (-> nuclear power), that photon mass is null, that time can contracts (-> GPS)...

Because Einstein said. But no seriously because it told us that speed is an illusion. It's basically the theory of relativity. I forgot what my teacher told us what it really meant. Something about mass x volume.
