Two things that was mentioned from other people are good. Telling the truth and educating people. Those will give you a great reputation. Now if you want to 'market' yourself, you need to do better than those two items. Word of mouth works well but you need to land your first few mouths so they can spread the word.

Here's how to start your initial deals:
1. Look to advertise in the chamber of commerce for new people or potential people coming in the area.

2. Send all your friends and family business cards and buzz marketing that you're open for business.

3. Speak in engagements and let your name be known.

4. Make yourself available to newspaper and TV interviews about real estate markets (free promos).

Know more than the next guy...read anything you can about real estate in your area,study the listings in your mls , learn advanced techniques, sales trainging, study assessors files, see all the listings you can, and most of all ,,,,,ask questions of your broker and experienced agents and remember that what you get out of real estate is based on what you put into it. Be honest at all times and everything you do.

Educate your buyers and sellers as much as you can. Buyers will then know when a house is a good deal and together, you and they will jump on it. Sellers will know what a good offer looks like and together you will get the house sold.
