It was way easier than I thought that it would be. For nine months I prepared myself for this horrendous battle. Then when my labour started, and I am a bit embarrassed to admit this, it just felt like really bad gas pains. It was nothing at all like I thought that it would be. It was not really painful until right at the end, but by then I was in the hospital signing forms, then I had an epidural, rested for a few minutes, then about 30 min. later my daughter was born. I went home the next day. I was a bit sore for about a week. I was only in labour for about 9 hrs.. I think that pregnancy and childbirth are the easiest things about Motherhood in this day and age.

I enjoyed giving birth to my third child. With my first two it was pretty horrible. I went into preterm labor both times and they had me on all kinds of drugs and I couldn't get out of bed. I was in "labor" for four days with each of them. With my third child I had been having contractions off and on since the am and around 2 o'clock i coughed (pneumonia) and my water broke. I called the doctor and I was rushed 1 1/2 hours away to a hospital and delivered 6 hours later. It was awesome I didn't have very intense contractions and I actually had the urge to push this time. I wish I could have had all three like the last one. I tell people it was a breeze. They are like oh you had an epidural. I did it with no pain medicine with all 3. I would have stopped at one if it was that bad!

Well you aren't going to see whats coming out of you. And as far as needles go the only needles you will be getting is probably an iv and some drugs. You'll be more than accepting for the drugs. So im sure by then the needles really wont bother you at all. Maybe you should lay off the videos though... Not everyone is the same or will go through the same. Just relax and breathe. Everything is going to be fine.

My first pregnancy, the delivery was horrible because i was in excruciating labor for 13 hours and felt every twinge and contraction...With my last It wasnt that bad at all,i mean when i reached 4 centimeters i cried a little from the pain but once the epidural kicked in i was happier than ever,i also had to wear a oxygen mask the entire labor which sucked but i knew it was for my baby *cord around neck,,big ol baby* after pushing for 10 minutes my beautiful baby was out and the experience was nice =)

I absolutley agree with you. I had a natural labour and birth which lasted over 3 days. I let my body do it's thing and went with the flow. Having a relaxing and stress free labour at home dealing with the pain quietly meant it was the most enjoyable experience of my life. I would do it again tomorrow if i could. I loved everything about it. Sounds bizarre but true.

I hated every minute up and until I had my epidurals...I had an epidural with 2 out of 3 of my child births...I, like some women, just wasn't capable of getting past the pain and I have a low pain threshold...but, when it was over and I could hold my cute, little angel I didn't mind the pain so much...

People look at me like I"m nuts. I enjoy it. Not the pain, but the time I spend with my husband during this and just the whole process of bringing the child into the world and finally meeting them. The pain sucks, but you can work past that :) (And no, I did not have an epidural, ever)

I loved every sinlge bit of it! It was the most amazing experience i ahve ever went through. Just the whole feeling of baby coming out was totally amazing. People laugh at me when i say how much i enjoyed it and the day i had my little boy, my sister asked me would i do it again and i said yes straight away! she couldn't believe it! I think if you can you should experience the magic of it!

I had a few things go wrong during my labour, my epidural ran out an hour before my baby was born, so I had the pain, but on the other hand I loved the fact that it ran out as I felt him come out of me and slide onto my belly, it was magical.
